How to customize the physical switch on your Fairphone (Gen. 6/Gen. 6+)

You can easily reassign the physical switch on the Fairphone (Gen. 6) or Fairphone (Gen. 6+) to control features other than Fairphone Moments. Adjusting this in your system settings lets you quickly access your favorite everyday shortcut with a simple toggle.

Available switch features

You can assign any of the following actions to the physical switch:

  • Fairphone Moments: Enables or disables Fairphone Moments (default setting).
  • Do Not Disturb: Enables or disables Do Not Disturb mode.
  • Flight Mode: Enables or disables Flight Mode.
  • Torch Light: Enables or disables the torch light.
  • Dark & Light Mode: Switches between light and dark mode. Light mode is active when the switch is in the up state, and dark mode is active when the switch is in the down state.
  • Battery Saver: Turns Battery Saver on or off. Battery Saver is active when the switch is in the down state.
  • Sound options: Switches between loud, vibrate, and silent modes.
  • Profile: Switches between your personal and work profiles.

How to change your switch shortcut

  1. Move the switch to the up position before adjusting the action assigned to it.
  2. Go to Settings > Switch.
  3. Tap the feature you want to assign to the switch button.
