If your physical SIM card is stuck inside your phone, do not force or pull it out. Following proper removal procedures prevents damage to the internal SIM card reader.
How to safely remove your SIM card
- Review the official user guide for your specific Fairphone model to make sure you use the correct removal mechanism for your SIM slot.
- Try to release the card using the standard tray button or removal method designed for your phone.
Do not use metal tools such as tweezers, pins, paperclips, or knives to pull out a stuck SIM card. Metal tools can permanently damage the sensitive pins inside the SIM card reader and void your warranty.
What to do if the SIM card remains stuck
